The 1st Annual SFRAS User Group Meeting took place November 18, 2008 at the Sheraton Hotel in Birmingham, AL. The user group meeting provided an opportunity for SWRA users from across the south to review and discuss how the SWRA has been used to date by the different state and federal agencies.  Additionally, it allowed users to share and learn different techniques, methods, and use of the SFRAS software and SWRA data, including a discussion of issues related to future use of the SWRA and SFRAS software.

The User Group Meeting was followed by an SFRAS Training Course on November 19 & 20th. The one and half day training course provided a comprehensive overview of how to use the SFRAS software and leverage the power of the SWRA Published Results.

This meeting was an important step in the process of understanding and learning how the SWRA can be used and incorporated into fire planning and mitigation programs across the South.
